2018/2019 Registration is LIVE!

 2018/2019 Registration is now LIVE!

Please go to the homepage under “for parents” and register your swimmer for short course season now!
We anticipate all groups to hit capacity for the season so get your swimmer registered as soon as possible as the season will be starting September 4th and your swimmer must be in the system and registered in order to swim practice.

Registration this year will include your NE
Swim fee, a window sticker, latex cap and a tshirt.  All items will be delivered at a later date but keep this in mind as you place orders for additional items.

New swimmers will need to do tryouts prior to registration and once registered will need to forward birth certificate or passport copies to my attention in order for me to complete NE
Swim registration for these swimmers.  All tryout dates/times are listed on our homepage.

Please call or email with any questions.

Thanks,

Lynn

End of season dates

So just a reminder this Thursday August 16th is the last day of Summer Rec and Friday August 17th is the last day for all competitive groups for long course season.

Registration is NOT
live yet but my plan is to have it ready to go by this Friday and at the latest next Monday.  I WILL send out an email alerting everyone that they can register their swimmers for the fall season once everything is in place as we are slated to start up on September 4th.

For anyone interested I have also uploaded a tentative short course meet schedule on the site.  There of course could be changes/additions/etc but it will give everyone a general idea of what we are looking at for short course.

Please call or email with any questions.

Thanks,

Lynn

Levels/Moveups

Dear Kingfish parents,

As we approach a new season, we thought it might be helpful if we address how the coaching staff thinks about swimmers moving on to the next group. The decisions are never easy ones, nor are they cut and dry. We make these recommendations, first and foremost, based on what we feel is best for each individual swimmer. We spend a lot of time getting to know your children, both in and out of the pool, so when identifying whether or not an athlete is ready to move to the next level, these are the primary factors we take into consideration:

1. attendance
2. work ethic/technique
3. times
4. age

Obviously, there are subcategories within these four, but if you have a swimmer who is wondering if they are prepared to meet the demands of the next level up, help walk them through these four things. Coaches are always more than happy to discuss questions or concerns with both swimmers and parents.
